Service Description

Fascial Stretch Therapy (FST): Fascial Stretch Therapy is a table-based assisted stretching therapy that focuses on releasing muscle tension and joint stiffness by targeting the vast interwoven connective tissue called fascia. Fascial Stretch Therapy focuses on fascial restrictions throughout the body, especially deep within the joint. What differs this form of stretching from others is the gentle approach and the incorporation of long leaver traction to target structural lines of fascia. What to Expect: A 40-minute one-on-one initial assessment begins with a review of your full health history and discussion of your complaints. Treatment follows with slow light stretches specific to the patient’s ability. This pain free stretching targets the tissues at various ranges and angles of tension, allowing for greater release of tight connective tissues and quick improvements in mobility. Patients are asked to bring loose, non-restrictive clothing (such as exercise wear), to allow the practitioner the freedom to move the patients’ limbs during assessment and treatment. Fascial Stretch Therapy is provided by Jeffrey Addley and as such may allow this service to be covered by your extended health benefits under Massage Therapy. Before booking in for your first appointment we recommend you confirm with your extended health benefits provider that Registered Massage Therapy is covered.
